About "Creative Spirits"
With Creative Spirits I have created a name for my various creative activities. Photography, poems and writing as well as creating websites and slide shows all require creative thinking. I love to do that, to let my spirit and inspiration run free and come up with new ideas, some of which remain dreams while others mature and eventually are born.
Aboriginal Australia
I fell in love with Australia a long time ago. I feel a bond between it's ancient spirit and my soul.
One focus of mine has always been Aboriginal culture. I feel that we need to help educating people all over the world about the riches and depth of these proud people, but specifically about contemporary issues. That is why I work on not only putting together articles, but also collecting resources like movie reviews, discographies and other publications where you can catch up on Aboriginal issues.
It is refreshing to see a website like yours, as it is indicative of how far other peoples interest (and yes curiosity) have come in terms of our own history, culture, language, spirituality and our place in the world. Thanks for spreading the word—and thank you for your cultural sensitivity which I feel lately has been very lacking from the general public.—Laura, Wamba Wamba people
And Coralie, an Aboriginal poet, writes: "Dear Jens your creative spirits does absolute JUSTICE to and for Aboriginal people. Thanks a trillion for putting us on the world-wide information network. Your efforts in acknowledging our Aboriginal culture and heritage does us PROUD! At last the TRUE story of our suffering, sacrifices and injustices is now being told.
"Creative Spirits is the light at the end of the tunnel that has engulfed us for the last 220 years. It has taken an overseas visitor to accomplish what many others have failed to do: acknowledge the fact that Australia was indeed occupied by thousands of Aboriginal tribes long before any kind of 'discovery' was made. As an Aborigine I thank you for your well researched contribution to Aboriginal culture. May your creative spirits linger forever more. Thank you."
I used creativespirits.info as my main source for my Year 10 assignment—Aboriginal Australians In Prison. It was the best. Thank you so much. —Chris J., student
An important site, illuminating, objective, educational and user friendly. Should be streamed into all educational institutions and libraries throughout Australia. —John Lind, film maker, writer, script editor, and teacher
Poems
What are the main streams in life? Isn't it tears, love, hope, faith and pain? These are the ingredients to all our feelings and moods and so are they for my poems which are nothing else but a means of expressing my very own personal feelings.
As German is my first language many of them are in German, however, as my knowledge of English improves I add new English poems as they come to me.
Feel free to browse through these poems, following the lines of love, footsteps of faith, over the hills of hope or along the trail of tears. Take your own journey, branch whenever you feel it is appropriate, and maybe one text or another lets you think "Yes, that's true!"

I created and maintain his website in my limited spare time. Please be patient when submitting a request as I often cannot answer quickly.
While I endeavour to list as many of my sources as possible, some older text might not have all references available. When assessing the
quality of my content, note that English is my second language and I do not have time for research as journalists would have. Thank you.
