Murchison River

The river’s mouth is a great fishing spot while the sunsets try to seduce you.

Kalbarri is at the mouth of the Murchison River. Here you can find ideal fishing conditions and you can almost certainly observe some fishermen (and -women) at work while you’re strolling around this area. Some fellows try the risky spots amidst the surf.

There’s a safe swimming beach next to the river’s mouth, great for children. At Chinamans Rock you can watch the sunset, but it’s better to do that from a more distant spot at the river banks, as you’ll have a great foreground for your photographs: tranquil boats linger on the river, which reflects the golden sunlight, while in the distance people on the lookout form dark silhouettes… ahhh!

Murchison River. During sunset everyone finds their own gold… Murchison River. During sunset everyone finds their own gold…
