Kalbarri is at the mouth of the Murchison River. Here you can find ideal fishing conditions and you can almost certainly observe some fishermen (and -women) at work while you’re strolling around this area. Some fellows try the risky spots amidst the surf.
There’s a safe swimming beach next to the river’s mouth, great for children. At Chinamans Rock you can watch the sunset, but it’s better to do that from a more distant spot at the river banks, as you’ll have a great foreground for your photographs: tranquil boats linger on the river, which reflects the golden sunlight, while in the distance people on the lookout form dark silhouettes… ahhh!
