Big World is one of the films in the anthology cinema event The Turning based on Tim Winton's acclaimed collection of short stories.

After flunking their exams and finishing high school, disillusioned best friends Lenny and Biggie flee up the coast in an old Kombi to escape the drudgery of the local meatworks.
